Jennifer Bryan, MD

Dr. Jennifer Bryan received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in Microbiology, graduating magna cum laude. She earned her medical degree at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where she also completed her family medicine residency in 2006. She practiced traditional family medicine in her hometown of Brandon, MS from 2006 to 2010. She joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2010 and was an assistant professor. She joined St. Dominic Medical Associates in December of 2017.  Dr. Bryan has been extremely active in the Mississippi State Medical Association since very early in her career.  She currently serves as District 4 representative on the MSMA Board of Trustees. She served as vice chair from 2017-2018 and was elected as Chairman of the Board in 2018-2021. Dr. Bryan was the first female chair of the MSMA Board of Trustees. She is an MSMA delegate to the AMA and serves as chair of the delegation. She also served as an alternate AMA delegate and member of the work group from 2014-2017. She has served on numerous councils and committee as a member and often as chair. She has also served as President of the Young Physician Section of MSMA from 2014-2016. She was Chair for the Council on Budget and Finance from 2015-2016. She was also a Mississippi Professionals Health Program Board Member from 2010-2014. She served on the MSMA Council on Public Information from 2011-2014. She sat on the Journal Editorial Advisory Board from 2014-Present. She is also very active within Central Medical Society serving as President in 2011, Secretary/Treasurer in 2010, and Rankin County Vice-President in 2009.

She has taken an active leadership role during the pandemic working closely with Dr. Thomas Dobbs and the Mississippi State Department of Health. She chairs a committee with Mississippi Hospital Association and the Mississippi State Medical Association. She has also made numerous national and state media appearances and has given multiple interviews on the state and national level, as well as a number of podcasts.
