Advocacy: RAC Update for Mississippi
In August 2009, MSMA joined with the MAFP and the law firm of Phelps Dunbar, LLP, to host Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) seminars for physicians and their staff. These seminars were complemented by a Physician Outreach Meeting which was held in September 2009 by CMS and its RAC, Connolly Consulting, Inc.
These seminars provided physicians with an overview of the RAC process and advised physicians to be diligent in monitoring the audit issues which would apply to physicians throughout Region C, as those issues would ultimately be approved for audits in MS. ...
