Becky Wells

Becky Wells is the Director of Events and Association Management.  She received a business degree from Hinds Community College and began her career with The State of Mississippi working for the Capitol Commission and later for State Veterans Affairs Commission. She began her affiliation with the Mississippi State Medical Association as the Administrator for Central Medical Society in March of 1998.   While serving in that capacity for Central Medical Society, she assisted on various special projects for MSMA, the most important of those being membership, Annual Session, and CME in the Sand. In 2004 she took the lead on the planning and execution of the CME in the Sand event. In 2009 she took the lead on the planning and execution of Annual Session. In 2010, following the retirement of the Director of Membership, Becky, along with Sheryl Ashley, assumed the membership department duties. She was named Director of Events and Association Management in January of 2017. She currently coordinates all MSMA meetings and events as well as assisting various component societies with their needs.  Along with Jenny White, she oversees the management of a number of specialty societies.

Becky has a strong passion and love for the Mississippi State Medical Association, the members, the staff, and for the work accomplished by the association.

She states that she is truly blessed to have been with MSMA and Central Medical Society for 24 years. She feels lucky to have a job that she loves and to be fortunate enough to work for such a wonderful group of people as the members who make up the Mississippi State Medical Association.

Becky resides in Brandon and was married to her late husband, David, for 47 years.  She has 1 daughter and 4 grandchildren.
