Advocacy.  MSMA is a powerful advocate for physicians and their patients on legislative issues including tort reform, liability insurance, Medicaid, scope of practice, contracting, and public health and safety issues.

Representation. MSMA represents physicians before regulatory agencies and works with third party payers to reduce administrative hassles and solve problems.

Information for your patients.  Public health efforts – such as the Public Health Report Card, Southern Remedy Health Living Program, and Physicians for SmokeFree Cities initiative – help physicians to educate and inform their patients and to improve healthcare in Mississippi.

Involvement. MSMA members are encouraged to take an active role in developing policies and participating in MSMA committees, sections and legislative activities.
